Rothwell achieve Community Club Status
We are delighted to announce that the Club has been awarded Charter Standard Community Club status.
The FA Charter Standard Clubs programme, supported by FA Community Partner McDonald’s, was launched in February 2001 and is a core component of The FA Football Development programme. It now has 4,500 clubs, with 460 advanced level Community Clubs and 120 leagues.
The Board of Rothwell Juniors is of course extremely proud of our newly acquired status as an FA Charter Standard Community Club, but what does it mean?
There are three levels of FA Charter Standard Awards for clubs: the entry level is an ‘FA Charter Standard Club’; the next level is an ‘FA Charter Standard Development Club’; and the most advanced ‘FA Charter Standard Community Club’. Each advanced level requires additional criteria to be met.
The FA Charter Standard programme is a kitemark, which recognises and rewards high quality levels of provision in club and league football. This kitemark is awarded to clubs and leagues that are well run, sustainable and which place child protection, quality coaching and safety paramount. It is a major focus of The FA’s £200m FA National Game Strategy and has improved coaching, the number of girls’ football teams and safeguarding children.
Community Clubs, the pinnacle of the club development pathway, are those that have a high quality, multi-team set up with excellent social, training and playing opportunities for all. As such, the number of Community Clubs is one of the truest measures of success for The FA Football Development strategy.
The strategy is aimed at all clubs outside the Football League and Premier League and allows players, children and parents to make an informed choice when searching for a club in their local area that meets FA standards. It underlines our commitment to quality and shows that the club is run in a proper and responsible way.
The Club will be presented with this award at Elland Road in the near future.
11-a-side GALA
After several years of succesfully hosting a pre season 11-a-side we are delighted to announce the dates for this years event. We will be holding the two day event over the weekend of Saturday 31st Aug and Sunday 1st Sep. Please accept the invite below and we look forward to seeing you all at Fleet Lane.

We so many of our teams playing in title decides and Cup Finals in the coming weeks we will put all the details in date order so hopefully we can all get behind each other and support our teams. If you've got a big game coming up let me know and I will add it to the list!

UPDATE - Rothwell Juniors GALA 2013
The dates for the annual Rothwell Juniors Gala have been amended to now just run on Sunday 19th May. Organisers will be in contact with all effected teams that have already entered. We have also updated the invite to reflect this.
Every year we are proud to host one of the best attendend and biggest Gala's in the region and this year will be no exception.
Please accpet an open invite to all clubs to attend.
