Tour Report

What a week !!!!

With so many memories to treasure, it is hard to put into words the unbelievable week the Under 16s enjoyed in the Portugese sunshine on the Algarve.

Jetting out of Leeds/Bradford on Sunday 28th June the squad looked immaculate in their official white polo shirts, with fellow passengers commenting on how professional they all looked.

Touching down at Faro airport (with no delays!!) the weather was warm and welcoming, and within an hour we were on our coaches and settling in at our resort. The Alfamar complex was extremely impressive and with the accommodation comfortable and clean everyone set about exploring the area, and overcoming their thirst with the local “Super Bock”.

The following 7 days came and went too quickly for everyone, and the entire party will have their own personal recollections and highlights. Maybe it was the barmy Tuesday/Thursday evenings watching the football in gorgeous sunshine, or the lazy days and late nights sampling the local cuisine, beer and wine. Or perhaps it was the excellent facilities, the amazing beaches, the marina in Villamoura, or even Dave Ides golf shoes!!!.

The camaraderie this group have shared for several years was non more evident than on the Algarve, and a truly memorable time was shared by all.

Training

Training is held at Robin Hood Athletic on a Wednesday evening from 5.45 - 7.15pm, and on Saturday morning at Rodillian school playing fields 10.30am - 12 noon.
