ROTHWELL JUNIORS MINI SOCCER
Welcome to Rothwell Juniors Mini Soccer. Our aim is to provide football training for boys and girls between the ages of four and six in a safe and fun environment.
Mini Soccer was formed over 20 years ago by Dave Pearson, who still runs the school today. Sessions are now run by a number of coaches and we're lucky to have use of the best facilities in the area.
Just turn up and enjoy!
Fleet Lane is closed due to the weather. All training and matches are cancelled for this Saturday 4th Feb

We now have the Rain Jackets. Please see Dave to collect. The cost of this training top will be £25 ( £1.50 for initials). Match Reports
Rothwell Juniors vs Pontefract Sports and Social
Despite some windy conditions and an unforeseen late start, M1 played brilliantly against Pontefract S&S. The team play and passing still needs to be worked at but the defence was strong, the midfield was creative and allowed up front lads to score some great goals. Fantastic effort!
M2 took on Pontefract S&S in the second of today's games. The lads settled in well and got their game going quite quickly. All of the nine players involved today played their part and showed great adaptability in different positions. We created a number of chances and scored some nice goals. It was pleasing to see the passing element that we have worked on in training being put into practice on the pitch. Well done lads!
Mini Soccer Structure
After the success of last season and the additional support from the parents we have decided this season to add a set structure to Mini Soccer. As always our key value is for Mini Soccer to be fun and enjoyable for all.
We now have agreed on a three Tier Structure. The Session groups will be named as M1, M2 & M3. Within each group we have now assigned a dedicated pair of coaches to ensure continuity in the coaching style delivered to the group.
Mini 1 [M1]
Mini 1 will be coached by Andy and Lee and after the recent performance of the Team in the Rothwell Gala we are looking at further developing the group on more Technical aspects of the Game. I am now going to divide my group to support the developement of skills, with the added support from Lee.
Mini 2 [M2]
Mini 2 will be coached by Chris and Joe. We will be using this group as a staging ground to develop all level of players and introducing a number of Skills and some Technical aspects of the game.
Mini 3 [M3]
Mini 3 will be coached by Ross and Neil. This group will cater for the younger children who attend the sessions. The sessions will be heavily weighted around fun and basic skills.
Note: Although we have now set up the structure we as a Mini Soccer will ensure each session is fun for all.
Meetings
Coaches have now agreed to Monthly Meetings to support the development of Mini Soccer. In addittion to this we will be holding Parents Meetings on a 5 to 6 Week basis. This will allow the Mini Soccer Group to take feedback and suggestions from all involved.
