The juniors under 9's girls travelled to Adel to play this fixture against Leeds City Vixens again missing several older players but to their credit they put in a fine performance.
The game kicked off and it went from end to end thou the Vixens looked the stronger especially in the kicking of the ball.
Olivia in goals was Rothwell's saviour a couple of times when the juniors failed to clear the ball and she brought off a couple of fine saves, defending is something the girls need to work on.
But it was Rothwell who took the lead after 15 minutes when a through ball by Ellie was picked up outside the box by the keeper resulting in a direct free kick and this was struck home by Emily to give the Juniors a 1-0 lead.
Zatoria,Megan and Lucy were working hard in midfield and Ellie and Emily making some fine runs up front.
But the Vixens were the stronger and kept clearing the ball well and just before halftime the Vixens equalised with Africa and Rebecca failing to clear the ball giving the vixens forward and easy strike on goal. Half Time 1-1.
The second half was again end to end stuff with Lauren also having a good game, and chances were being missed at both ends.
But it was the stronger Vixens side that scored a 2nd goal midway through the the half and again Rothwell should have cleared the ball on a few occasions but failed to do so, and Olivia made a great attempt to keep the shot out. 2-1
Rothwell battled hard for the equaliser but were unlucky in a game they didn't deserve to loose.
Never mind girls just keep enjoying your football and the results will follow.
