This match was played on a very wet pitch at Rothwell after all the overnight rain but it didn't stop the Juniors from putting on a fine display in this top of the table clash.
Rothwell's regular goalkeeper pulled out,and Ellie Mae went into goals for the Juniors,
Maddie and Halely played up front with Ellerby and Rosie in the middle and these two were tremendous through out the game they never stopped running despite the heavy pitch.
Maddie and Haley were causing the Burley defence all sorts of problems with their one twos and Haley put the Juniors 1-0 in front with a fine strike from one of these.
And when Burley did manage to break out of defence they found the strong tackling of Maisie and Beth W determined not to let them through.
Rothwell were forcing Burley back all the time and it wasn't long before they increased their lead when Ellerby played Rosie free and she powered through on goal to put the juniors 2-0 in front.
And just before half time Maddie and Haley linked well to put in Rosie again and she made no mistake running from midfield to fire home half time 3-0.
Burley made a switch at half time changing their goalkeeper and she brought off a couple of good saves to deny Rosie from increasing Rothwell's lead.
And when a long clearance by the Burleys keeper caught Rothwell's defence out and Maisie who was having a strong game along with Beth W failed to clear and the Burley right winger made no mistake to reduce the score to 3-1 giving Ellie-Mae no chance with a fine strike.
Rothwell them made a couple of changes with Nicole and Leah coming on and this paid dividends for Rothwell with Nicole playing a nice one two with Rosie who went onto complete her hat trick with another fine goal the keeper failing to hold onto her shot and the ball trickling in 4-1.
Rosie then came off with Beth A coming on to replace her and she made a couple of good tackles in midfield and released Nicole who in turn put a fine ball in to Haley and she completed the scoring 5-1 to Rothwell.
This was a fine performance from all the girls with every one giving 100% it was like watching a different team this week.
Rosie was voted Girl of the Match by Burley with Ellerby matching her all the way for effort.
